The UWA Triathlon Development Squad is an invitational squad which forms part of the UWA Uniswim and UWA Triathlon Club coaching program. It aims to develop triathletes through training, education and competition, to compete successfully at age appropriate competitions, including, but not limited to;

  • State Championships – State Schools Championships, Interclub Championships, Sprint Distance Championships, Olympic Distance Championships, aquathlons & duathlons
  • National Championships – ITU Junior Championships, Schools Championships, Sprint Distance Championships, Olympic Distance Championships, University Championships
  • International Championships – Oceania Championships, Continental Cups, World Cups, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games

To train with the UWA TDS triathletes are required to:

  • Be a member of the UWA Triathlon Club
  • Attend all prescribed training
  • Keep a training diary
  • Be on time
  • Maintain positive communication with the coach
  • Maintain personal health
  • Have all necessary equipment in good working order eg. bike, lights, watch etc.
  • Respect all members of the squad
