Registration for swimming squads is managed by UWA Sport and registration is via Uniswim

Running – Wednesday 5:30pm @ McGillivray Oval

The coached running sessions involves a series of sprint, short distance, interval, fartlek and various other training methods. Everyone runs at their own pace on the oval so it’s suitable for everyone.

When: Wednesday 5:30 – 7pm

Where: McGillivray Oval, UWA Sports Park

Bring: Towel, water, running shoes

Suitable for: Everyone

Running – Monday 4:30pm @ Lake Monger

The coached running sessions involves a series of sprint, short distance, interval, fartlek and various other training methods. Everyone runs at their own pace on the oval so it’s suitable for everyone.

When: Wednesday 4:30 – 5:30pm

Where: Lake Monger Recreation Centre

Bring: Towel, water, running shoes

Suitable for: Runners already attending the Wednesday session

Friday Run Map

Club Run – Friday 5:30pm

A 5km club run from the Boat Shed Car Park occurs on Friday evenings, just across from UWA. This is an out-and-back 5km southwards along Matilda Bay so everyone can run their own pace.

When: Friday 5:30pm

Where: Boat Shed Car Park (Opposite UWA at Matilda Bay), Nedlands. (Free parking after 5pm.)

Bring: Shoes, water

Suitable for: Everyone

Triathlon Training - Wind Trainer

Coached Cycling – Tuesday 5:30am

Windtrainer and roller training sessions involves connecting your bike to a stationary trainer. The resistance and difficulty in training is variable so they can suit everyone. The objectives in training vary from skills to fitness.

When: Tuesday 5:30 – 7am

Where: Sport Science Oval at UWA, Nedlands. (Parking is free until 8:00am)

Bring: Bike, towel, water, cycling shoes, helmet

Suitable for: Everyone

Triathlon Training - Wind Trainer

Coached Brick Session- Thursday 5:30pm *Currently Not Available*

Windtrainer sessions involves connecting your bike to a stationary trainer. The resistance on the trainers are variable so they can suit everyone. Short running drills are done off the bike, however, these are optional.

When: Thursday 5:30pm

Where: Sport Science Oval at UWA, Nedlands. (Parking is free after 5:00pm)

Bring: Bike, towel, water, running shoes

Suitable for: Everyone

Cycling UWA

Long Rides – Informal weekend sessions

Club members are often looking for company for their longer weekend rides. Keep an eye on the Facebook group for details on informal weekend rides. Distance varies from 60-90km and often includes hills.

When: Saturday / Sunday

Where: Rec Center (car park side) at UWA, Nedlands. (Parking is free on the weekend.)

Bring: Bike, water, money, spares, food (optional)

Suitable for: Faster riders (28kph hills ride avg.)

Cycling UWA

Coffee Club Ride – Sunday 7:30am

The Sunday club ride is no-drop ride, there is one optional sprint and a regroup and coffee stop so it’s not only limited to new riders. The purpose of the ride is also to serve as a recovery ride for Saturday. Distance is 35km and usually finishes by 9:30am. Keep an eye on Facebook to ensure others are participating!

When: Sunday 7:30am

Where: Rec Center (car park side) at UWA, Nedlands. (Parking is free on the weekend.)

Triathlon Training - Wind Trainer

Swimming Sessions – Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:30AM

UWA Triathlon Club swimming training is done in conjunction with the Uniswim Surf Tri Fit Adult Squad at UWA.

Payment for this is not part of the training fees and is paid for through the Uniswim website linked below.
